A Day in the Life
A Sustainability & Circular Design Consultant advises businesses on integrating eco-friendly practices throughout their product lifecycle, from material sourcing to end-of-life. This involves conducting environmental assessments, developing circular design strategies, recommending sustainable materials, and helping companies achieve certifications. It's a strategic role focused on reducing environmental impact and promoting resource efficiency.
- Conducting life cycle assessments (LCAs) of products and processes
- Analyzing supply chains for environmental hotspots and risks
- Developing circular economy strategies (e.g., design for disassembly, repairability)
- Researching and recommending sustainable materials and manufacturing processes
- Advising on waste reduction and resource efficiency initiatives
- Preparing reports and presentations for clients on sustainability performance
- Helping companies achieve environmental certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, LEED)
- Staying updated on environmental regulations and best practices
Work Environment
