A Media Production Coordinator is the organizational backbone of a film, TV, or digital media project. Their day is a whirlwind of logistics: scheduling shoots, managing budgets, coordinating equipment and crew, handling permits, and ensuring all administrative tasks run smoothly so that the creative team can focus on production.
- Creating and managing production schedules, call sheets, and shot lists
- Coordinating logistics for filming locations, equipment, and transportation
- Managing production budgets, tracking expenses, and processing invoices
- Hiring and scheduling crew members, talent, and vendors
- Obtaining necessary permits, licenses, and clearances for filming
- Handling administrative tasks such as paperwork, contracts, and insurance
