About This Role

Designing digital language learning materials and interactive courses.

A Day in the Life

You design and develop digital learning experiences for EdTech platforms, corporate training providers, or educational institutions, using instructional design models to create engaging, effective online and blended courses.

  • Analyse learning needs and define measurable learning objectives
  • Design course structure, learning sequences, and assessment frameworks
  • Develop e-learning content using authoring tools (Articulate Rise, Storyline, Adobe Captivate)
  • Create storyboards and scripts for video-based learning
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate expertise into learnable content
  • Build interactive activities — quizzes, drag-and-drops, scenarios, simulations
  • Upload and configure content on LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas, TalentLMS)
  • Conduct QA reviews of course content for accuracy, interactivity, and instructional quality

Office or hybrid work environment at an EdTech startup, corporate training department, or educational institution. Sri Lanka's EdTech sector is growing with companies like Schoolguru, IQ EduTech, and international platforms such as Coursera and Udemy accepting Sri Lankan content developers.
