About This Role

A Day in the Life

Manage the relationship between the organisation and its employees — handling grievances, disciplinary cases, policy interpretation, and collective employee issues to maintain a fair, compliant, and harmonious workplace.

  • Investigate employee grievances and conduct formal grievance hearings
  • Manage disciplinary investigations and chair or advise on disciplinary panels
  • Advise HR managers and line managers on employment law and HR policy application
  • Monitor and manage employee morale indicators and early warning signs
  • Maintain relationship with trade unions and manage union consultation where applicable
  • Review and update HR policies to reflect current legislation and best practice
  • Handle employment tribunal and labour department matters
  • Coach managers on handling difficult employee conversations and performance issues
