A Day in the Life
You teach Drama at a government or private school — delivering the national drama curriculum, preparing students for examinations, organising school theatre productions, and developing student performance skills in Sinhala or English medium.
- Deliver Drama lessons aligned with the Ministry of Education Drama syllabus
- Teach scripted performance, improvisation, and Sinhala/English drama traditions
- Prepare students for O/L and A/L Drama examinations
- Direct school drama productions for annual concerts and cultural events
- Teach drama theory — history of Sri Lankan Nurthi theatre, Western drama traditions
- Assess practical performance and written drama theory components
- Manage school drama society and after-school drama activities
- Coordinate with the principal for drama performances and resource needs
