A Chemical Plant Operator's day involves continuous monitoring and control of industrial processes in petroleum or rubber chemical plants. This includes checking gauges, adjusting valves, and operating automated systems to ensure safe and efficient production, often working in shifts.

  • Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates using control systems and gauges.
  • Operate and adjust valves, pumps, and other equipment to maintain optimal process conditions.
  • Conduct routine inspections of plant machinery and pipelines for leaks, malfunctions, or abnormalities.
  • Collect samples of raw materials and finished products for quality control testing.
  • Record operational data, log readings, and report any deviations or incidents.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks and assist technicians with equipment repairs.
