A Day in the Life
Apply advanced analytics to talent and workforce data — building predictive models, delivering strategic talent insights, and advising HR and business leaders on data-driven talent decisions across the full employee lifecycle.
- Build predictive attrition models using machine learning techniques
- Develop talent segmentation and high-potential identification analytics
- Design and deploy advanced people analytics dashboards (Power BI, Tableau)
- Advise HR and C-suite leaders on data-driven talent strategy and workforce planning
- Conduct talent market intelligence analysis: competitive compensation, skills availability
- Build and maintain talent analytics data pipelines from HRIS, ATS, and performance systems
- Present talent analytics findings to the CEO and Board with actionable recommendations
- Develop talent analytics capability through coaching and knowledge transfer to HR teams
Work Environment
Senior specialist role within a People Analytics or HR Strategy function. In Sri Lanka, this level of talent analytics work is found at the largest and most analytically mature organisations: top-tier banks, Dialog, John Keells, and multinational subsidiaries. Also found in management consulting firms (KPMG, Deloitte) delivering talent analytics projects to clients.
Typical hours: 45h/week · WLB score 7/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
Good balance. Project delivery phases and board presentation preparation create short intensive periods.
