A Day in the Life

Oversee the day-to-day operational functions of the organisation, ensuring that resources, processes, and people are aligned to deliver products or services efficiently, on time, and within budget.

  • Monitor key operational KPIs — throughput, quality, cost, turnaround time — and take corrective action
  • Plan and schedule staffing, equipment, and materials to meet production or service targets
  • Chair daily/weekly operations review meetings with team leaders and department heads
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Liaise with Finance on budgeting, variance analysis, and cost control measures
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality management standards
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships to maintain supply chain reliability
  • Prepare operations reports for senior management and the Board

The role is highly cross-functional — bridging HR, Finance, and front-line teams.
