A Supply Chain & Logistics Manager in the agricultural sector oversees the entire journey of agricultural products, from farm to consumer. This involves coordinating harvesting, storage, processing, transportation, and distribution, with a strong focus on minimizing waste, ensuring quality, and optimizing freshness and cost-effectiveness.

  • Plan and manage the logistics of agricultural product movement from farms to processing/distribution centers
  • Optimize cold chain management and storage solutions to minimize spoilage and waste
  • Coordinate with farmers, processors, transporters, and retailers to ensure timely delivery
  • Implement and monitor quality control standards throughout the supply chain
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, transporters, and distributors
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and agricultural standards
  • Manage inventory levels of raw produce and finished goods to meet demand
