Their day involves mapping current workflows, identifying bottlenecks, proposing optimized solutions, documenting new procedures, and training staff on best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Mapping current supply chain processes (e.g., procurement, warehousing, distribution)
- Identifying inefficiencies, redundancies, and areas for improvement within workflows
- Designing and developing optimized supply chain processes and procedures
- Documenting new process flows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guidelines
- Collaborating with IT to implement process automation and system enhancements
- Conducting training sessions for staff on new processes and tools
- Monitoring the effectiveness of implemented process changes and making adjustments
- Analyzing process performance data to ensure continuous improvement
