A Day in the Life

A Quality Assurance Manager in the Textile industry ensures that all garment products meet international quality and safety standards before export. This involves developing and implementing QA strategies, managing a team of auditors, overseeing testing, and collaborating with production and design to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive Quality Assurance strategies and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of QA officers and auditors.
  • Oversee all stages of garment production, from raw material to finished product, for quality compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to international quality standards (e.g., AQL, ISO 9001) and buyer specifications.
  • Manage and review all fabric and garment testing procedures and results.
  • Collaborate with design, merchandising, and production teams to prevent and resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management and clients.
