A Day in the Life
A Quality Assurance Auditor for Fabrics ensures that textile products meet specified quality and safety standards. This involves conducting inspections at various stages of production, performing tests, documenting findings, and collaborating with production teams to address and resolve quality issues.
- Conduct in-line and final inspections of fabrics for defects, color consistency, and construction.
- Perform physical tests on fabric samples (e.g., tensile strength, colorfastness, shrinkage).
- Verify that fabrics comply with international testing and safety standards (e.g., AATCC, ASTM, OEKO-TEX).
- Document inspection results and generate quality reports.
- Identify root causes of quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production and design teams to implement quality improvements.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
- Stay updated on industry quality standards and regulations.
Work Environment
