This involves analyzing demand forecasts, assessing resource availability (materials, labor, machinery), and creating detailed schedules to ensure efficient production, timely delivery, and minimized costs.
- Analyze sales forecasts and customer orders to determine production requirements.
- Develop detailed production schedules for various product lines.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material availability.
