An Automotive Production Manager oversees the entire vehicle assembly process, from raw materials to finished cars. Their day involves planning production schedules, managing resources (labor, machinery, materials), ensuring stringent quality control, optimizing efficiency, and troubleshooting operational issues to meet delivery targets in a highly complex manufacturing environment.
- Develop and implement detailed production plans and schedules for vehicle assembly
- Manage and optimize the allocation of labor, automated machinery, and components
- Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions swiftly
- Ensure all production processes adhere to strict automotive quality standards (e.g., ISO/TS, IATF)
- Oversee inventory management of parts and finished vehicles
- Lead, train, and motivate production staff, including line supervisors and skilled technicians
- Implement and maintain rigorous health and safety standards on the factory floor
- Prepare detailed production reports on output, efficiency, and costs
Work Environment
