Key publishers: Wijeya Newspapers (Daily Mirror, Sunday Times, Lankadeepa), Upali Newspapers (The Island, Divaina), Lake House (Daily News — state), Virakesari (Tamil). SLPI journalism diploma is the industry-recognised entry qualification. Investigative journalism roles are in high demand.
