A Day in the Life

You install, commission, maintain, and repair mechatronic systems — automated machines that combine mechanical, electrical, and electronic/software components — in industrial and commercial settings.

  • Install and commission automated machinery and robotic systems
  • Diagnose faults spanning mechanical, electrical, and PLC/software domains
  • Replace faulty components — servo drives, sensors, pneumatic actuators, encoders
  • Calibrate sensors and feedback systems after repair or replacement
  • Read wiring diagrams, pneumatic schematics, and PLC ladder logic programs
  • Update PLC programs or HMI screens for minor modifications
  • Perform preventive maintenance on automated production equipment
  • Document faults and repairs in the maintenance management system
