A Day in the Life
You design and deliver technical training programmes for automotive technicians — covering new vehicle systems, diagnostic tools, and service procedures — to upskill workshop staff to OEM or industry standards.
- Prepare and update training materials — slide decks, technical workbooks, and practical exercises
- Deliver classroom and workshop-floor training sessions on vehicle systems
- Demonstrate diagnostic procedures, repair techniques, and use of specialist tools
- Assess technician competence through practical and written evaluations
- Coordinate training schedules with service managers and HR departments
- Track technician certification completion and maintain training records
- Stay current with new vehicle models, system updates, and OEM service bulletins
- Support technicians with post-training follow-up on the workshop floor

Training centre classroom and workshop training bay. Sri Lankan OEM brands (Toyota, Nissan, Honda) operate dedicated training centres in Colombo. Independent trainers conduct workshops across dealer networks, TVEC institutes, and corporate training facilities.
