A Day in the Life
You specialise in the diagnosis, maintenance, and replacement of hybrid and electric vehicle battery packs — testing cell health, managing thermal systems, and performing battery reconditioning or replacement.
- Perform battery state-of-health (SoH) and state-of-charge (SoC) assessments
- Diagnose BMS fault codes and identify degraded or faulty battery cells
- Replace failed battery modules or cells in hybrid/EV battery packs
- Recondition NiMH hybrid battery packs (Toyota/Honda hybrids)
- Maintain battery thermal management systems (cooling pumps, heat exchangers)
- Perform high-voltage system isolation and safety checks before service
- Update battery management firmware via OEM diagnostic tools
- Advise customers on battery health status and expected remaining lifespan
