A Day in the Life

A Fleet Maintenance & Service Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of a vehicle fleet, from scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs to managing a team of technicians. The day involves inspecting vehicles, ordering parts, optimizing service schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles
  • Oversee vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repair operations
  • Manage a team of mechanics and service technicians, including scheduling and performance reviews
  • Source and procure vehicle parts, tools, and equipment, managing inventory
  • Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle performance, and maintenance costs
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and vehicle licensing requirements
