A Day in the Life
A Design Researcher/Strategist spends their day uncovering deep user insights and market trends to inform design decisions. This involves conducting user interviews, surveys, competitive analysis, and synthesizing data to develop strategic recommendations that guide product, service, or experience design.
- Plan and conduct user research activities (interviews, surveys, usability tests)
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify user needs and pain points
- Perform competitive analysis and market trend research
- Create user personas, journey maps, and empathy maps
- Synthesize research findings into actionable design recommendations
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers
- Present research insights and strategic proposals to stakeholders
- Develop design strategies that align with business goals and user needs
Work Environment
