A Day in the Life

You carry out systematic maintenance and diagnostic work on vehicles in an authorised service centre — following OEM procedures, using manufacturer diagnostic systems, and maintaining quality standards that a general mechanic may not.

  • Perform manufacturer-specified service schedules using OEM procedures and parts
  • Use brand-specific diagnostic systems (Toyota TIS, Honda HDS, Suzuki SDS) for fault diagnosis
  • Complete warranty repairs following manufacturer technical service bulletins (TSBs)
  • Carry out multipoint vehicle health checks and produce customer reports
  • Perform PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) on new vehicle deliveries
  • Maintain job card records accurately for service management system
  • Work with factory-trained service advisors on customer vehicle issues
  • Attend OEM training updates for new model technical requirements
