A Day in the Life
You diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicles — from starter motors and alternators to ECU issues, wiring harnesses, and modern vehicle electronics including CAN bus systems.
- Diagnose electrical faults using OBD-II scanners and multimeters
- Test and replace batteries, alternators, and starter motors
- Trace and repair broken wiring harnesses and corroded connectors
- Install and configure vehicle accessories — dashcams, reverse cameras, audio systems
- Diagnose ECU and sensor faults for engine management, ABS, and airbag systems
- Test and repair vehicle lighting systems, switches, and relay circuits
- Work on air conditioning electrical components (compressor clutch, blower motors)
