A Day in the Life
A Water Policy & Sustainability Lead develops and implements strategies and regulations for the sustainable management of water resources. This involves conducting research, engaging with stakeholders, drafting policy documents, and advocating for equitable and environmentally sound water usage practices.
- Research and analyze current water resource management practices and policies.
- Develop and draft new water policies, regulations, and management plans.
- Engage with government agencies, NGOs, communities, and industry stakeholders.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments related to water projects.
- Advocate for sustainable water use, conservation, and pollution control.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of water policies.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and policy briefs for decision-makers.
- Represent the organization in national and international forums on water sustainability.
Work Environment
