A Day in the Life
Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for the organisation — sourcing, assessing, and hiring the best talent efficiently and fairly, while building employer brand and talent pipelines for critical roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and ideal candidate profiles
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, talent networks, and headhunting
- Screen CVs and conduct structured telephone and video initial interviews
- Coordinate assessment centres, technical tests, and panel interview scheduling
- Manage candidate experience through the full recruitment funnel
- Negotiate and extend job offers and manage the pre-boarding process
- Track and report recruitment metrics: time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source mix
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and critical roles
Work Environment
Internal talent acquisition function or HR team in a large organisation. In Sri Lanka, Talent Acquisition Specialists are most common in large organisations with high-volume or specialist hiring needs: banks, telcos, large conglomerates, BPO/KPO companies, and multinationals. Also found in recruitment agencies that serve client companies.
