A Sustainability & Certification Specialist ensures that aquaculture products meet international sustainability standards. This involves developing and implementing sustainable practices, conducting audits, preparing for certifications like ASC and BAP, and communicating with stakeholders about environmental and social responsibility.
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies for aquaculture operations.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with international certification standards (e.g., ASC, BAP).
- Prepare documentation and facilitate external audits for sustainability certifications.
- Monitor environmental performance indicators (water usage, waste, energy consumption).
- Train staff on sustainable practices and certification requirements.
- Collaborate with supply chain partners to ensure traceability and responsible sourcing.
- Research and integrate new sustainable technologies and practices.
- Communicate sustainability efforts and achievements to stakeholders and consumers.
Work Environment
