Startup Consulting and Mentoring is a career you earn — built on the back of running businesses yourself. Once you have that experience, it is one of the most intellectually stimulating and impactful roles available. You distil decades of learning into advice that accelerates others. The reward is partly financial (advisor equity) and mostly the satisfaction of watching founders succeed with your help.

About This Role

Provides expertise to early-stage entrepreneurs on strategy, operations, and market entry.

A Day in the Life

You advise early-stage startups and entrepreneurs — helping them validate ideas, navigate fundraising, build teams, develop go-to-market strategies, and avoid the most common startup failure patterns.

  • Conduct 1-on-1 mentoring sessions with startup founders on specific business challenges
  • Review and critique startup pitch decks, business plans, and financial models
  • Facilitate startup workshops on idea validation, product-market fit, and growth tactics
  • Connect startups with relevant investors, partners, and corporate buyers
  • Provide structured feedback on MVP development and customer discovery process
  • Advise on team building, equity structuring, and co-founder dynamics
  • Represent startups at investor demo days and ecosystem events
  • Curate and share relevant resources, networks, and ecosystem introductions
