A Day in the Life
You provide specialist QA expertise within a quality function — owning specific QA processes such as supplier quality, auditing, documentation, or customer complaint management — and driving quality improvements in your area.
- Own and manage a specific QA domain (e.g., supplier quality, customer complaints, document control)
- Conduct supplier qualification audits and maintain the approved supplier list
- Manage customer complaint investigation and CAPA closure process
- Maintain the Quality Management System documentation and change control system
- Conduct internal process audits and prepare audit reports
- Analyse quality trend data and prepare monthly quality performance reports
- Support new product development teams with QA input during stage gates
- Train staff on QA procedures and quality standards in your specialist area
Work Environment
Office-based specialist role within a QA department in manufacturing, FMCG, healthcare, or services. In Sri Lanka, found at large multinationals (Unilever, Nestlé, Hemas) and mid-sized manufacturers. May involve supplier site visits or production floor walks.
Typical hours: 45h/week · WLB score 7/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
