A Day in the Life
Support and execute organisational development initiatives — talent reviews, capability assessments, learning interventions, and culture surveys — that strengthen the organisation's people and performance frameworks.
- Coordinate talent review and succession planning cycles
- Administer and analyse culture and engagement survey data
- Design training content and facilitate internal development workshops
- Support the rollout of new HR frameworks (competency models, career frameworks)
- Manage L&D programme logistics, vendor coordination, and participant communication
- Compile OD programme effectiveness reports and post-training evaluation data
- Assist in developing leadership assessment and development centres
- Maintain the organisational learning calendar and programme database
Work Environment
HR team in a large organisation's L&D or OD function. Similar to the OD Specialist role but at a slightly more execution-focused level — more programme coordination and facilitation delivery, less senior advisory work. Common in companies investing in structured talent development in Sri Lanka.
Typical hours: 44h/week · WLB score 7/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
Good balance. Programme delivery peaks and annual talent review cycles create short intensive periods.
