A Day in the Life

You provide direct administrative and operational support to a manager or department — handling correspondence, scheduling meetings, preparing reports, coordinating between teams, and managing day-to-day office logistics so that senior staff can focus on strategic priorities.

  • Manage the manager's calendar — schedule meetings, appointments, and travel
  • Draft and respond to emails, letters, and memos on behalf of the manager
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing documents
  • Coordinate meetings — book rooms, prepare agendas, take minutes, circulate action points
  • Liaise with internal departments and external vendors or clients
  • Maintain filing systems — physical and digital document management
  • Process purchase orders, expense claims, and invoice approvals
  • Organise and arrange business travel and accommodation
  • Handle phone calls and visitor management
  • Track project deadlines and follow up on outstanding action items
