A Day in the Life
You lead a team of maintenance technicians and engineers — planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to maximise equipment uptime and support production targets.
- Coordinate daily maintenance work orders and technician deployment
- Review overnight breakdown reports and prioritise repairs for morning shift
- Conduct equipment walkarounds to identify developing faults before breakdown
- Approve and oversee major planned maintenance shutdowns
- Review and update preventive maintenance schedules in CMMS
- Report maintenance KPIs to engineering management (OEE, MTBF, downtime)
- Manage maintenance spare parts inventory and reorder triggers
- Coach and develop maintenance technicians on fault diagnosis skills
