- Consult clients on desired hairstyles, colour goals, and scalp/hair health
- Shampoo, condition, and treat hair before cutting or colouring
- Cut and shape hair using scissors, clippers, and razors
- Apply hair colour, bleach, highlights, and toners with precision
- Perform chemical treatments — perms, relaxers, keratin straightening
- Style hair using blow-dryers, curling tongs, flat irons, and setting techniques
- Recommend retail products for home hair care
- Sanitise tools and workstations between clients per health regulations
