About This Role
Manages the relationship between the franchisor and franchisee network, ensuring brand standards, operations compliance, training, and profitability. Growing role as international franchises (KFC, Pizza Hut, McDonald's, Burger King, Subway) expand in Sri Lanka through local master franchisees (Cargills, Abans, Cee Cee's).
A Day in the Life
A Franchise Manager's day is focused on supporting and overseeing a network of franchisees. This involves regular communication, conducting site visits to ensure compliance with brand standards, providing operational training and marketing support, and helping franchisees achieve profitability and growth.
- Conduct regular visits to franchisee locations to assess operational compliance and brand standards.
- Provide ongoing training and support to franchisees on operational procedures, marketing, and sales.
- Monitor franchisee performance against KPIs and develop action plans for improvement.
- Act as a liaison between the franchisor and franchisees, addressing concerns and fostering relationships.
- Assist franchisees with local marketing initiatives and grand openings.
- Ensure adherence to franchise agreements and resolve any disputes.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to provide strategic guidance to franchisees.
- Prepare reports on franchisee performance and overall network health for senior management.
Work Environment
This role involves significant travel to various franchisee locations, often across different regions. The work environment is dynamic, blending office-based administrative tasks with on-site operational support and relationship building.
