About This Role
Provides personalized financial and insurance advice to high-net-worth clients for long-term protection and growth.
A Day in the Life
Provide comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) in Sri Lanka, covering investment portfolios, tax planning, insurance, estate planning, and retirement strategies.
- Conduct financial planning consultations with HNW clients
- Build and manage investment portfolios (CSE equities, T-Bills, unit trusts, offshore funds)
- Prepare comprehensive financial plans covering goals, risk, and asset allocation
- Review portfolio performance against benchmarks and rebalance as needed
- Advise on tax-efficient investment structures and estate planning
- Identify protection needs and recommend life/health insurance solutions
- Keep clients updated on market developments and regulatory changes
Work Environment
Client-facing role at a private bank, wealth management firm, or independent advisory practice. Requires high levels of trust and discretion. Regular client meetings, some at client offices or homes. Relationship-driven role.
Typical hours: 45h/week · WLB score 3/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
Relationship-driven role means availability matters. Client emergencies and market volatility can require attention outside hours. Generally manageable once client book is established.
