A Day in the Life

Waste Recovery and Circularity Leads design systems to minimise waste and maximise material recovery — auditing waste streams, implementing circular economy strategies, working with suppliers on sustainable packaging, and measuring resource efficiency across operations.

  • Audit organisational waste streams and identify recovery opportunities
  • Design circular material flows to reduce virgin resource consumption
  • Work with procurement on sustainable supplier packaging requirements
  • Implement and manage waste sorting and recycling systems
  • Track and report waste diversion, recycling rates, and resource efficiency KPIs
  • Engage staff on waste reduction behaviours
  • Liaise with waste management contractors and recycling facility operators

Work Environment

Corporate sustainability department, manufacturing facility, or environmental consulting firm. Mix of office strategy and production/site floor visits.
