About This Role

Invests in high-potential startups and provides mentorship to help them grow and scale.

A Day in the Life

Identify, evaluate, and support early-stage startup investments in Sri Lanka and South Asia. Work with VC funds or corporate venture arms to source deals, conduct due diligence, and help portfolio companies grow.

Source and evaluate startup investment opportunities in SL and South Asia
Conduct due diligence on target startups (team, product, market, financials)
Build financial models and valuation frameworks (DCF, comparables, VC method)
Prepare investment memos and present to Investment Committee
Support portfolio companies with strategy, fundraising, and connections
Monitor portfolio performance against milestones and KPIs
Attend startup ecosystem events (LK Angel Network, BOI startup days, SLASSCOM)
