A Day in the Life
Design and manage the travel product portfolio for a tour operator — creating competitive packages, negotiating with suppliers, pricing itineraries, and ensuring products meet market demand.
- Research and develop new tour packages for target markets (European FIT, Chinese groups, Indian incentive)
- Negotiate rates and allotments with hotels, airlines, and ground operators
- Price packages competitively with appropriate margin targets
- Write product descriptions, itinerary narratives, and marketing copy for packages
- Monitor competitor product offerings and market trends
- Manage seasonal catalog updates and special promotion packages
- Work with sales team to understand client feedback and product gaps
- Manage supplier contracts and rate validity periods
