About This Role

Planning and selling transportation and accommodation for travel customers.

A Day in the Life

Sell and service individual and group travel products — handling airline ticketing, hotel bookings, package holidays, and travel insurance for a diverse range of Sri Lankan travelers.

  • Issue airline tickets using GDS (Amadeus, Galileo) for domestic and international routes
  • Book hotels, resorts, and accommodation packages for clients
  • Prepare package holiday quotes combining flights, hotels, and transfers
  • Process travel insurance applications and explain coverage options
  • Assist clients with visa applications and travel document requirements
  • Handle booking amendments, cancellations, and refund processing
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and manage booking deposit schedules
  • Advise clients on destination-specific requirements and travel advisories

Travel agency retail or corporate office environment. Client walk-in and phone/online inquiry handling. Transactional but relationship-oriented. Colombo travel agencies primarily serve outbound leisure travelers (Middle East, UK, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand popular SL outbound markets).
