About This Role
Advises clients on travel destinations and bookings.
A Day in the Life
Help clients plan and book memorable travel experiences — researching destinations, building itineraries, and coordinating flights, hotels, and activities for individual and group travelers.
- Consult with clients to understand travel preferences, budget, and expectations
- Research and build bespoke travel itineraries for international and domestic travel
- Book flights, hotels, transfers, and activities using GDS and supplier systems
- Prepare detailed travel documents (itineraries, vouchers, insurance, visa guidance)
- Handle changes, cancellations, and emergencies during client travel
- Build and maintain client relationships for repeat and referral business
- Stay current on airline promotions, hotel deals, and destination updates
- Meet monthly sales targets for travel bookings and commissions
Work Environment
Travel agency offices in Colombo or working remotely. Client-facing sales environment with GDS terminal and supplier portal access. Fast-paced during peak booking seasons (January–March for northern summer, October–November for December season).
Typical hours: 45h/week · WLB score 7/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
