For those driven by the clean energy transition — resource analysts are the technical foundation of every wind, solar, and hydro project, turning weather data into clean power.

About This Role

Assesses potential for solar, wind, and hydro energy in various locations to optimize green energy production.

A Day in the Life

Renewable Energy Resource Analysts assess and quantify renewable energy potential — conducting wind, solar, and hydro resource assessments, analysing meteorological data, modelling energy yields, and supporting project developers with site selection and financial modelling.

  • Analyse wind/solar/hydro resource data from weather stations and satellites
  • Run energy yield simulations using WAsP, PVSyst, or similar tools
  • Prepare technical resource assessment reports for project developers
  • Evaluate site suitability and constraints for renewable projects
  • Support financial modelling with P50/P90 energy production estimates
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses for different climate scenarios
  • Liaise with lenders, investors, and developers on energy projections
