About This Role
Performs tests on materials and finished products to ensure they meet technical and safety standards.
A Day in the Life
QC Specialists perform detailed quality control testing and inspection — running tests on products or processes, documenting results, identifying defects, and providing data-driven feedback to production teams to prevent quality failures.
- Perform in-process and finished goods quality inspections
- Conduct laboratory testing and analysis of products
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming products
- Analyse defect data and produce quality reports
- Calibrate and maintain testing instruments
- Communicate quality findings to production supervisors
Work Environment
Quality control lab, production floor, or testing facility. Mix of lab work, floor inspection, and office reporting. Requires PPE in production settings.
