A Day in the Life
PC Assembly and Repair Technicians build and fix computers — assembling custom PCs from components, diagnosing hardware faults, replacing failed parts, cleaning systems, and handling warranty repairs for customers.
- Assemble custom desktop PCs from customer specifications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware failures (RAM, GPU, HDD, PSU)
- Replace faulty components and perform repairs
- Install and configure operating systems
- Clean computers and apply thermal paste
- Test assembled systems for stability and performance
- Advise customers on component upgrades
