About This Role
Protecting organizational networks from cyber threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches.
A Day in the Life
Design, implement and manage network security controls, monitor traffic for threats, respond to network-based attacks, and ensure the security of enterprise network infrastructure.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS
- Monitor network traffic for threats using SIEM
- Analyse security alerts and investigate anomalies
- Implement network access control (NAC) policies
- Conduct network vulnerability scans
- Respond to network security incidents
- Design segmented and secure network architectures
- Review firewall rules and access control lists
Work Environment
Technical security operations environment. Combines proactive network design with reactive incident response. Deep networking and security expertise required.
Typical hours: 45h/week · WLB score 6/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
Network incidents can require urgent after-hours response.
