A Day in the Life

Perform and interpret complex diagnostic investigations — including radiology, pathology, or laboratory medicine — to support clinical diagnosis and treatment planning across healthcare facilities in Sri Lanka.

  • Interpret imaging studies (X-rays, CT, MRI, ultrasound) and issue diagnostic reports
  • Analyze laboratory specimens and provide pathology reports
  • Perform diagnostic procedures (biopsies, aspirates, guided injections)
  • Consult with clinical teams on complex diagnostic findings
  • Quality assure diagnostic reports for accuracy and clinical relevance
  • Update radiological or pathological databases
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
  • Train junior medical officers and radiographers/lab technicians

Work Environment

LABTeam: SMALLUNIFORMRemote: HIGH

Radiology department, pathology laboratory, or diagnostic center. High technical environment with advanced imaging or lab equipment. Works closely with radiographers, lab technicians, and clinical medical officers.

Typical hours: 50h/week · WLB score 6/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
