Oversees cleanliness, room standards, and maintenance within a hotel.
A Day in the Life
Manage day-to-day hotel housekeeping operations — overseeing room cleaning teams, quality inspections, and departmental administration to maintain brand cleanliness standards.
- Plan and assign daily room attendant workloads based on occupancy
- Inspect finished rooms and public areas against quality checklists
- Manage shift scheduling, attendance, and overtime for housekeeping team
- Handle guest complaints related to room cleanliness promptly
- Coordinate with Front Office for room prioritization (VIP arrivals, early check-ins)
- Monitor linen and amenity consumption against budget targets
- Train new room attendants on hotel standards and procedures
- Prepare daily and weekly housekeeping productivity reports
Work Environment
Hotel floors, linen rooms, and back-of-house areas. Active management role with constant movement between floors. Direct team leadership for 15–40 housekeeping staff.
Typical hours: 55h/week · WLB score 5/10 · COMMON overtime
