A Day in the Life
Lead hotel housekeeping operations at the executive level — setting quality standards, managing large teams, controlling linen and amenity inventory, and ensuring every guest room and public area meets brand standard.
- Conduct morning briefing with housekeeping supervisors and floor staff
- Inspect guest rooms, suites, and public areas for cleanliness and presentation standards
- Manage housekeeping staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluation
- Oversee linen room operations, amenity inventory, and housekeeping supply procurement
- Coordinate with Front Office on room status, arrivals, and special guest requests
- Manage lost and found procedures and departmental administration
- Prepare departmental budget and control operational expenses
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for housekeeping
Work Environment
Hotel housekeeping department across all floors, back-of-house, and public areas. Physical inspection role requiring walking 10,000+ steps daily. Manages large diverse teams (often 30–80+ staff). High standards environment with guest satisfaction directly tied to room cleanliness scores.
