A Day in the Life
Specialize in Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) — developing Sri Lanka as a MICE destination, winning corporate group business, and delivering exceptional corporate event experiences.
- Identify and pursue MICE business leads from international and domestic corporate clients
- Prepare MICE proposals, site inspection programs, and destination presentations
- Manage incentive travel programs from planning to execution
- Coordinate with hotels, airlines, and activity providers on group MICE packages
- Organize and host site inspection visits for corporate clients and event planners
- Negotiate group room blocks, F&B minimums, and AV packages with venues
- Develop MICE product packages (team building, gala dinners, city tours)
- Track MICE revenue pipeline and report to senior management
Work Environment
Hotel sales and events teams, DMC MICE divisions, and tourism authority MICE departments. Mix of office-based sales work and on-site event management. Significant travel for trade shows and client meetings.
