About This Role
Organizing and managing conferences, weddings, and corporate events within the industry.
A Day in the Life
Oversee all hotel event and banquet operations — from weddings and gala dinners to corporate conferences — ensuring flawless execution and exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Meet with clients to understand event requirements, theme, and budget
- Prepare event proposals, function sheets, and detailed costing for banquets
- Coordinate with kitchen, housekeeping, AV, and F&B service teams on event setup
- Supervise event setup including table arrangements, floral decor, and AV equipment
- Lead event execution team on the day — directing service staff and problem-solving
- Manage event billing, final accounts, and post-event client follow-up
- Evaluate event feedback and implement improvements
- Develop upselling strategies for banquet packages (add-ons, premium options)
Work Environment
Hotel banquet and events department — indoor event spaces, ballrooms, gardens, and convention facilities. Fast-paced during events with long hours on weekends and holidays (peak wedding season: December–April). High-pressure, high-visibility role requiring coordination across multiple hotel departments.
