About This Role

Coordinating regional tourism projects and community-based tourism development.

A Day in the Life

Implement tourism development programs at operational level — assessing tourism resources, supporting community tourism initiatives, and executing SLTDA projects across assigned territories.

  • Conduct field inspections of tourism sites, accommodations, and facilities
  • Support community tourism development (village tours, homestays, craft markets)
  • Collect data on visitor numbers, accommodation capacity, and tourism activity
  • Facilitate training programs for small tourism operators and community guides
  • Prepare progress reports for supervisors and SLTDA regional offices
  • Coordinate with provincial authorities on tourism infrastructure needs
  • Assist in organizing local tourism events and festivals
  • Respond to tourism operator queries on licensing and compliance requirements
