A Day in the Life
Lead marketing campaigns and strategies that promote Sri Lanka (or a specific hotel/resort) as a premier travel destination to international and domestic markets.
- Develop and execute destination marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
- Manage relationships with international tour operators, travel agents, and OTAs (Booking.com, Expedia)
- Create content strategy for destination social media, website, and brochures
- Analyze visitor data and market trends to identify target segments (luxury, adventure, wellness)
- Coordinate familiarization (FAM) trips for international travel journalists and tour operators
- Represent Sri Lanka at international travel trade shows (ITB Berlin, WTM London, Arabian Travel Market)
- Manage marketing budget and track ROI for campaigns
- Collaborate with SLTPB on national marketing initiatives and co-marketing opportunities
Work Environment
Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, international hotel chains, DMCs, and luxury resort marketing offices. Frequent international travel to trade shows and overseas markets (Europe, Middle East, China, India). Creative, data-driven environment combining brand strategy with destination storytelling.
