A Day in the Life

Provide professional counseling support to individuals experiencing emotional, psychological, or social difficulties in Sri Lanka — through schools, hospitals, NGOs, or private practice. Help clients develop coping strategies and improve mental wellbeing.

  • Conduct individual counseling sessions using evidence-based approaches (CBT, person-centered)
  • Conduct intake assessments and build therapeutic case plans
  • Facilitate group counseling or support group sessions
  • Refer clients to psychiatrists, social workers, or legal services when needed
  • Maintain confidential counseling session records
  • Liaise with schools, hospitals, or referring organizations
  • Deliver psychoeducation on mental health topics
  • Participate in case supervision and professional development

Work Environment
